Hello, I’m Shannon Chow.
I started blogging in 2006-2015. I stopped for a few years to focus on my career and was finding my own identity. Blogging to me is journaling, keeping a record while reflecting on key moments as I was growing up from a teenager to adulthood.
I’m starting to write again, in hopes to share all my knowledge in layman term simplified for you, so it serves as a guide as you embark on a digital journey to take your business online.
I’ve learnt so much as an account servicing suite, project manage & as a consultant. Mastering my digital skills on my own (there’s no such thing as Social Media/Digital Marketing course when I graduate, as Facebook just started back then). I learnt how to code on my own. Learnt digital strategy, tactics, design and many more all through the world wide web.
Picked up strategy from a few talented individuals, I had the privilege to work with & campaigns that allowed us to expand our creativity. Worked with multiple CMS platforms & partners. Put my skills to test while consulting SMEs to grow their online business and doubled their revenue within a year (lots of hard work there).
My experience is quite peculiar, I’m a business/marketing graduate with a tech background. I’ve worked on web development projects, mobile apps, social media, digital marketing/media buy, content strategy, branding, user experience, creative ideation driven by data, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), email marketing, eCommerce and recently Online-to-Offline integrations on eWMS-OMS-POS system and dabble into the Internet of Things (IoT) on my own leisure time, building my smart home with Google Home.
I find that having a business & marketing background coupled with digital knowledge, things makes a lot of sense. Therefore, this blog is dedicated to all of you who are taking or growing your business online. I hope my sharing would also be useful to individuals who can upskill or discover a new career path.
Stay safe & we’ll get through the COVID-19 situation together, by helping one another.
Your’s Sincerely,
Shannon
