Shop
Bangkok is a one-stop shopping haven. Shop till you drop from Siam Center to Siam Paragon and then head over to Central World, these malls are all located almost next to each other, with BTS Train in front of it’s doorstep.
Don’t stop there, proceed on to Platinum Mall further on after walking past Central World. A ladies haven for wholesale price dresses, clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. For each outlet, should you purchase more than 2 or 3 pieces, do bargain and don’t forget to say Thank You to the vendors.
Spot the local youth in a airport setting shopping mall known as Terminal 21 featuring various small boutiques and the main – each floor showcases different cities; London, Tokyo, Istanbul and many more.
Keep an eye out on Naraya, for stylish fabric bags and great as souvenirs. Their outlets are located in most shopping malls in Bangkok.
Lastly, night markets are every where in Bangkok they starts as early as 6pm around the streets. However, a must visit is the Chatuchak Weekend Market (Kampaeng Phet Metro) with over 8,000 stalls. A popular tourist spot and wear comfortable walking shoes as you’ll be walking for a long time.

Eat and Drink
Enjoy a lovely english breakfast or tea time by the garden at Roast Coffee & Eatery.
Connect with the wifi and get a coffee fix at the Bicycle Cafe, in a chilling environment, simplicity with a touch of trendiness.
Dine in Sirocco with a spectacular view of Bangkok city with the sun setting or have a drink at the sky bar.
For a sweet bite, drop by to the Magnum Cafe in Siam Center.
Stay
Ibis Hotel located in Siam at (Pathumwan) with a decent room rate; comfortable beds, clean bathroom and convenient public transportation services. Or on a budget, lub d is a cool hostel for backpackers.
Party people, check in to the happening Aloft Bangkok (by starwood hotels) for the trendy and stylish rooms. w xyz bar is the place to chillax.

Do
Apart from shopping, take a stroll at the Grand Palace built in 1782 and features several magnificent buildings.
Join the Songkran festival which happens on 13 till 15th April, load up your water guns and be soaked.
Take a stroll at the Madame Tussauds wax museum and snap photos with hollywood stars.
Take a boat ride to the Floating Market.
Travel Tips
- Take the BTS Skytrain or metro rather than taxis during rush hour as traffic in Bangkok can drive you crazy.
- Should you flag down a taxi, only accept to ride on metered taxi, else fares can be doubled or triple. If your leaving the hotel, get the reception to call a taxi as the hotel management will ensure taxi runs on meter and do ask what’s the estimated fare in case the driver refuses to run the meter.
- Do stay alert at all times and take extra care of your belongings especially cash, passports and handbags while shopping indoors or out on the street.
- If your flying AirAsia, it lands in Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) airport, not BKK airport.
- Be polite, put your palms together in when greeting a Thai, say Thank You “Khob khun Krab (to males) and Khob Khun Ka (to females)”.
