Running for Adidas King of The Road (KOTR) 2011 in Sunway and New Pantai Express highway is a different experience compare to KL marathons I ran before.
Its also my first time running in a Adidas shoe! Got a RM 50 off from the Race Pack for KOTR. I love the colours a very outstanding ocean blue.
King of The Road race pack, I managed to get the purple and yellow running vest it was out of stock by day 1 itself!
With Alyson and Tim
It was 6AM in Pyramid can you imagine? The crowd were amazing as I’ve been to pyramid twice as early as 5AM something once was during my previous project the Pedal Away Polio last year and now.
Stretching caught on cam!
Thanks to Edwin Chew for being our photographer of the day! As Its super early to drive in KESAS highway I woke Edwin up to accompany me as well since the night before he mentioned he wanted to snap some photos so I woke him up at 4 something in the morning! =)
It feels like the 3 of us are abit too awesome having a personal photographer following us around and snap pictures of us even when we’re bored… and stoning.
Putting on some Deep heating rub by Mentholatum muscle relief cream provided while Alyson aka momo is sleepy.
Around 7.15AM the 10KM category is about to start soon as 16.8KM flagged off.
Flagging off
Boo! Here we are among the hundreds of people!
Flooded the road with bright colours of Adidas KOTR runners around ss15 area.
I’ve passed 6KM! 4KM more to go!
a Malaysian runner spotted holding up Malaysia flag as he approaches the finish line.
Lately what I’ve notice after flash mobs people start wearing funny outfits to marathons! You don’t see this during 3 years ago marathons as I’ve ran quite a numbered last time during high school.
A pijamas guy running with a feather duster. ROFL.
A patriotic singaporean running with Singapore’s flag.
an Orange puffy hair guy running…
and an overly excited lady when approaching the finish line…
so…I’ve made it. Succeeded 10KM after my leg injury 2 years ago. My motivation throughout of the 10KM was Uncle Seng noodles, drooling while running 😉
Group picture!
I’ve Earned this!
Cheese!
Big Thank You to Edwin Chew!

I ran in Adidas KOTR 2011 too. I wanted to join the upcoming KOTR 2012 but my old colleagues blew it up because they wanted to send a running team to the event but was late in registration and the registration was full.
I have a short article about jogging.

By the way, I am your father’s colleague. Your father introduced me your blog. He is very proud of you.

Hello Seng Aun, thanks for dropping by on my blog. 🙂 I couldn’t register for KOTR 2012 as well, the registrations was filled up within days. And great article on simple basic jogging tips. 🙂

it’s quite fun though as its my first time running on highway. Normally run by the road side in KL marathons =) Yeap, gotta wake up super early.
