I adore cafe, during my trip in Bangkok City I tweeted by asking if there’s any nice café that I must visit. Someone recommended the “Bicycle Café”, at first glance, I was thinking you kid me not, what a café name and decided to Google it – I adore it.
It’s a chic place to hang out, surrounded by hotels & office buildings at Pathumwan, just two stations away from Siam Center. For a tourist, this is an idea place to get connected with the wifi at a cozy environment over coffee or breakfast.
The name “bicycle” came about due to the word that sounds so ordinary yet convey such an extraordinary meaning. Bicycle symbolizes the “Simplicity, Community, and Eco-Friendliness.” The vehicle itself is human-powered propelled. Likewise, BICYCLE represents the passion to embark the journey of the socially responsible and sustainable business.
I ordered the Value Lunch (Friday) Chicken with rice with Roselle Juice, (89 bht / RM 9.20 / $ 3.10). It’s quite affordable, perhaps for guys the portion might be small. Chicken is simple yet paired with the special spicy sauce is delicious. While on a hot afternoon, Roselle Juice quenches thirst and cools me down.
To try out their pasta special set, we ordered Spa Olio Bacon, (150 bth / RM 15.53 / $ 5.12), it’s decent and I wouldn’t say it’s as good as italian restaurants but it’s okay.
I did like the Fusilli Seafood Mari, (150 bth / RM 15.53 / $ 5.12), it’s not too sour nor does it contains too much tomatoes in it and the seafood are quite fresh.
As I was here for brunch, I didn’t manage to try out their sandwiches and breakfast items. I will certainly come back again for an early breakfast when I’m in Bangkok.
Coffee was good, I had the Hot Mocha, it’s heavenly, I liked the taste of cocoa and a lovely coffee art.
Hot Americano, (60 bht / RM 6.22 / $2.05)
Hot Cappuccino, (75 bht / RM 7.77 / $ 2.56)
Hot Mocha, (85bht / RM 8.80 / $2.90)
Come with a friend, or if you’re a lone-ranger bring your laptops or just with a book to chill from the busy streets of Bangkok.
PS: Their staff are really friendly! Plus, they sell organic products besides the counter too!
