There’s been too many cafes to hop lately, Brewmen was a good recommendation by cafehopers in KL.
If the usual Cafe Latte, Flat While or Long black bores you, Brewmen is the place to visit. Apart from the usual espresso drinks, Brewmen have a few special caffeine drinks which would triggers your taste buds.
Firstly, I tried their Aeropress with El Palmito by Nylon. Barista was very focus and had the patience to prepare a cup of pleasant coffee. He even took a sip to test prior serving. Best spot to seat if you are ordering speciality coffee is by the coffee bar.
Tasting notes of El Palmito by Nylon from Huila, Colombia. It was fruity felt like apricots, peaches and sweet apples. Crisp and clean cup.
Yun Ji had the Devil’s Kiss, Espresso shot with chili served with chilled milk. Extreme shock and described as organism in your mouth down to your stomach. Drink the espresso, take a bite of hot chili and cool yourself with milk. Indeed, you gotta be a daredevil to take this, for the brave ones.
During my second visit with Eunice and Yun Ji, we tried the Queen Bee, RM 10.

We reckon it’s something special, Brewmen’s creation, the Queen Bee is basically Espresso plus honey in a tiny bottle. Pour over ice to enjoy, best served chilled.
Cold Brew, RM 12
A light, low-acidity cold brew coffee using El Salvador beans. This wasn’t my favourite as it was too light for me or it could be due to the other coffee we had earlier before having this cold brew.
Seeking for more coffee adventure? Try out Brewmen’s other speciality such as Espresso Bomb, Reverse Espresso and their handbrew.
