Keeping more loyalty cards in the wallet has been a pain, so the ChopChop team came up with an idea on keeping various brands and dining outlet loyalty benefits in your phone – the mobile loyalty cards.
Minus the heavy bulky wallet in your pocket plus more benefits on redemption from merchants on ChopChop.
ChopChop is an innovative mobile app created to help organise the gazillions of loyalty cards you have in your wallet. They take physical loyalty cards and put it on your smartphones.Basically, like how your normal loyalty cards where you get a chop for every bowl you purchased or of a minimum amount spent you get a chop. After 5 or 10 chops you get to enjoy a free bowl of dessert or cash voucher.
As am a frequent customer from Marufuku @ JayaOne, so a few months ago Marufuku was featured on ChopChop and being curious, I download the ChopChop app while I was waiting for my food.I loved the idea and so I tweeted them once and as back then Marufuku was no longer in Taylor’s they’ve closed. It’s sad. So just a moment ago, ChopChop tweeted me about Mekong House being featured so I can enjoy the benefits in Taylor’s, quite good customer relationship management (CRM) on social media I would say as they remember I’m from Taylor’s.
I think it’s informative to share about ChopChop on my blog, besides it’s an interesting business concept plus consumers like me and you get to enjoy benefits as we frequently dine in a restaurant/cafe which is nearby to us and merchants get to enjoy more customers. It’s a win-win situation for all 3 parties.
Once you’ve enter ChopChop in the app.
It will display your cards. So I’ve got two cards, D’f.i.s.h and Marufuku.
Go to menu and you can select and monitor your account. Such as the number of cards you hold, inbox message of new outlets featured on ChopChop, Merchants where you get to see the list of outlets already featured on ChopChop and more details about it.
From the Merchant List you get to scroll down for all the merchants with their details. If you would like to try out new cafe/restaurants, this is one way to discover new places while getting rewarded.
So I’ve checked out Mekong House, from the circles on top, it is where you collect the chops and after 5 chops for Mekong House you get to enjoy RM 25 cash discount!
Now every promotion comes with a Terms & Conditions, so click on ‘more details‘ to check out the T&C. For Mekong House, every RM 30 spent you get 1 chop. So I should group up my friends to dine in Mekong House!
How do you get the Chop since this is an app?
It’s via a QR code. As you pay at the cashier, ask for the QR code and scan it.
Just open the ChopChop app and in the middle you’ll see a camera icon just click on that and scan the QR code then check your chops on top of the card.
Get ChopChop on your smartphones, it is available on app store for Apple, Android and Blackberry.
