Food Foundry located in Happy Mansion (aka Flats) in Section 17 is popular for it’s Mile Crepe. I remember having my first slice of Mile Crepe in Malacca when a friend recommended me I was amazed at it’s layers and it was tasty. As I’ve never see a cake with so many layers in cream besides the layer cake or the 9 layers kuih.
Durian Mile Crepe (RM 12.50)
Durian lovers your gonna fall in love with the richness of durian in this slice of mile crepe. Though I’m not a durian fan, the taste is so rich that it felt like your eating a durian while the crepe just melts in your mouth. Slightly pricy but it’s the best durian dessert I’ve tasted besides durian pancakes in hotels.
Chocolate Mile Crepe (RM 9)
Topped with Cocoa powder on top of the mile crepe it’s delicious. Mile Crepe are rare in Kuala Lumpur so far I only knew Austin Chase in Mid Valley sells as I was there with Hayden during CNY, however it’s nothing as good compare to this. The layers there are tough and hard to slice with a fork where as here is just tender and fresh.
Almond Tiramisu (RM 11)
It’s disappointing on this one, too sweet and lack of the Tiramisu taste. Guess they are only famous for mile crepe.
Brew coffee (Black coffee) for RM 4.50. Coffee ranges from RM 4.50 – RM 7.
UPDATE [8 July 2012]: They had renovated their place as of June 2012. Here’s some photos of the interior and layout of the cafe. Looking really good. It’s gonna be my new place to chill. Just love the environment now! Finally it looks like a proper cafe! 🙂
Still using the same menu.
