The other day, Guardian was having 20% off Nair products, so I decided to give it a try. Previously I was using Veet Waxing Strips. So I bought two pack of Nair wax strips – face and legs/body.
Wax strips for the face and body/leg comes in a pack, consist of 20 wax strips with 2 aftercare wipes.
Each pack of Nair wax strips comes with the usual stuff similar to other brands. It comes with instructions (do read it carefully as different waxing strips may result differently on skin), waxing strips and aftercare wipe (these are for you to remove the sticky wax on the surface of your skin).
Waxing strips for the face are relatively small, however, I feel there’s no difference pertaining to the wax itself.
This is my first time waxing my forehead, as my hair grows longer and with the hot weather I wanted to lift up my bangs so those baby hair are sort of ugly, which is why I decided to eliminate them.
Just like how you wax your legs, just place it on your forehead, be careful not to wax your hair off.
The process of waxing is the same for both face and body/legs.
Firstly, place the piece of wax strips in your palms to heat it up by rubbing it, then tear it into half and place on the area where you want to wax. Secondly, peel off as quickly as possible and make sure at the correct direction – against of hair growth.
My verdict, I disliked the most would be the waxing strips which comes in plastic form. As compared to Veet it’s so much easier to grip which rubbing in between the palms. For the results, the wax is alright and does a good job in removing almost 90% of the hair on my legs, but for the face it requires more than 2 strips to remove facial hair completely. Sometimes the wax would remain on the skin surface, whereby 2 aftercare wipes is not sufficient for waxing more than two times. Leading to a conclusion, so per packet of Nair, allows me to wax only 2 times? After waxing, it lasted about 2 weeks before my hair regrow.
Waxing is still a better alternative over hair removal cream or shaving your legs, as those normally lasted me for about 5 days to a week. As for the pain factor of waxing, you’re pulling one section of your hair off your body, it will be painful. After a couple of waxing, I could tolerate with that. I would rate the pain factor 1/5. If you’re trying out waxing at home for the first time I would advice you to wax your legs first before trying out to wax your bikini line (pain factor about 3/5).
Would I re-purchase Nair waxing strips? well nope. I preferred Veet. Although I didn’t like Nair products very much, I’m reviewing for your reading pleasure in case you are deciding to buy a pack you’ll know how it looked like and about the results.
Will you consider trying out Nair Easy Wax Strips?

Hello Shannon, thanks for sharing this. I’m looking for waxing stripe for my upper and lower lips. I came across Veet and is very interested in this product. However, for Veet products in Singapore, they don’t sell anything for facial area. Do you know where can I get Veet facial waxing stripe in Singapore? I know Veet in UK carries it but not in Singapore.
