Have you ever wondered what oil is good for your skin and what’s the difference between body oil vs moisturizer or lotion. Well, I was introduced to Linden Leaves from New Zealand in December last month. Upon discovering Linden Leaves and amazing aromatherapy synergy body oil collection, it got me thinking what oil is good for your skin.
Introducing the aromatherpy synergy body oil bottled with real fruits and flowers. Aren’t they lovely? When I saw the bottles, I just couldn’t keep my eyes away from them. Especially learning about how each bottle of body oil packaging is done manually.Linden Leaves create beautiful products to nourish the skin and nurture the soul, which offer a sense of delight. Designed to inspire a moment of peace in each day, they focus on the best quality, natural ingredients contained in beautiful, recyclable packaging. Many of their product are made by hand, their unique body oils contain hand harvested natural botanicals.
Available in two sizes 250ml and 60ml, the aromatherapy synergy body oil comes in 4 types;
Absolute Dreams, In Love Again, Memories and Pick Me Up which cost RM 196 and RM 98 respectively.Body oils can be used to replace body lotion after your shower, massage the oil into your skin for a lasting hydration. With the lovely scent, you can also use body oil for massage or for a relaxing bath by pouring a few drop into your bathtub as bath oil.
Difference between Body Oil vs Lotion
Some suggest that body oil are more natural as compared to lotion, despite there are some eco friendly lotion out there, but generally plant-based oils like almond are super effective at keeping us hydrated and radiant without the need to add other ingredients to make it creamy like lotion. However lotion does contains some beneficial ingredients such as aloe vera, vitamin E, vitamin D, shea butter, and keratin. I would suggest to use both in moderation. You can use lotion in the day and body oil at night too but both carry the same function which is to hydrate your skin and gives you a healthy glow.
It’s my first time trying out a body oil beside diy-ing some olive oil for my skin some years back.
I got to try out the “Pick Me Up” aromatherapy synergy body oil. It contains organic rosehip and avocado oils blended with pure sweet almond and apricot kernel oils, enriched with vitamin E and infused with a rejuvenating blend of mandarin, petitgrain, rosemary and lavender, to keep skin soft and nourished.The scent is refreshing as the name suggest, it’s a perfect wake up call to all your senses as you massage it onto your skin after shower to kick start the day. I enjoy the texture of the oil especially it’s non greassy, non sticky and leaves my skin smooth and locks in moisture for all day long.
A small bottle of 60ml could last you for about 3 – 4 months I presume, judging from my own bottle. Just drop one or two drops of oil onto your skin and massage it to spread the oil evenly on your skin, you’ll find that your skin is able to absorb the oil instantly hence leaving your palms non greasy. I really like the product and rather keen to try out “Memories” instead actually. But no regrets on Linden Leaves products.
