I’ve heard about Standing Theory awhile ago, but this February, I’ve finally made my visit after the long-awaited CNY break while I went café hopping all around PJ and TTDI. Yun Ji (Food x Kopi Junki instagrammer), highly recommends this place, so we drop by for their famous waffles and coffee. Overall, this is a great place, perfect for the SS2 and Damansara crowd.
BBC Waffles, RM 13
My favourite. Waffles served with Bacon, Banana and Fatbaby Ice Cream! If you’ve got a diet, this one should be allocated on your cheat day. It’s just too good!
VD Roll, RM13
Tried this on my 2nd visit. Rarely you’ll get café which serves pork, as for the VD Roll, it was good. Similar to Vietnam style, sandwich with homemade pork patty topped with some chili padi, vegies and generous amount of peanut.
Flat White, RM 10 // Long Black, RM 7
Lovely coffee art, it’s one of the reason I prefer milk. Flat White was creamy and just perfect.
Long black, well it varies due to calibration between my cup and Yun Ji’s ones. Mine was better.
Piccolo Latte, RM 9.
During my visit to most cafe I would try their piccolo first, but at Standing Theory, I had their flat white due to good comments on Foursquare. I have to say I’m satisfied with their Piccolo, for it’s richness.
2nd visit, have another cup of Flat White, still good.
Interior wise, it’s simple yet hipster. Perfect place for instagrammers. Food go for Waffles, coffee you can try their Cold Brew, Flat White and Long Black. Fatbaby Ice Cream is available in house too!
