I was invited to a date by Yves Rocher at The Gardens Cafe in Sunway Pyramid. I must say, it’s an invitation I wouldn’t resist, as I adore Yves Rocher history and products.
I first got to know about Yves Rocher through a gift by my friend consisting of a bath gel set in raspberry. Later on, I tried out Hydra Vegetal a skin care range for hydration. Since then, I feel in love with it and even became a member recently upon purchasing 2 sets of Hydra Vegetal (bought one for my boyfriend) and some shower gel for myself.
It was 50 years ago, in the attic of his family’s home, in the heart of Bretagne, France, that Yves Rocher created Botanical Beauty, based on the treasures of the botanical world and its infinite potential. From the very beginning, he insisted on controlling every step of the production cycle in order to guarantee quality and safety of all products for a respectful and accessible brand. Today, Yves Rocher is an affordable natural brand whereby, they harvest, manufactures and distribute all their products.
At the beauty workshop – Discover Yves Rocher, organized by The Lilac Box (which I only knew about it on the event itself) and Yves Rocher, we were given a passport to complete it with stamps at 5 different stations. It was a very intimate and personal discovery on making ourself feeling and looking good.
To begin, I visited my favourite, Les Plaisirs Nature – the Yves Rocher shower gel and lotion range. In this station, it’s about discovering our preferred scents ranging from various natural ingredients such as oatmeal, olives, berries sweet and peach. As am currently using Oatmeal shower gel and lotion, I was keen on Raspberry it’s girly sweet scent leaves you wanting to stay in the shower alittle longer! So the friendly Yves Rocher staff gave me a raspberry lotion in travel size.
My next station, after filling up some short Q&A’s about my personality, it was a girly-romantic scent for me. I was recommended to a few scent and my favourite was Moment de Bonheur, it’s one of their recently launched perfume. I love the unique scent, slightly romantic feeling that was not too strong.
After tingling my senses with scents and perfumes. I got my skin analysed by the professionals with computer generated results. I was told my skin was perfect, that leaves me on cloud 9. I had some pigmentations (which was normal for most people), zero ance (yay, no pimples!), my skin was 4 years younger than my actual age, there was minimal visibility of pores detected and no wrinkles!
The skin consultant actually asked what products I used, well I’m proud to say, it’s Hydra Vegetal skin care range. It’s amazing, my skin wasn’t this perfect last year but after using the hydration range, my pores were less visible and skin well nourished. This explains the zero wrinkles and minimal pores, healthy skin hence pimple free. But of course I do drink up lots of water daily.
After the station, I got to know about which foundation tone to use from and got some foundation application tips. You always apply foundation with downward strokes to avoid clogging pores. Which is what I do with my BB cream daily, in addition always cleanse and remove all traces of make up at the end of the day.
Yves Rocher was having a member’s day sale, of course I couldn’t resist on grabbing some items! I bought the Nutrition Hair Mask for damaged hair and Pur Bleuet make up remover. Apart from that I’ve also booked 6 packets of Hamamelis Super Soft shower gel refills as recommended by Jessying. I’ve got to try the Clear Solution which was a exfoliator and mask through the skin analysis station. I also got a nail polish in hot pink from the perfect match foundation station.
The last station, was sweet memory. Indeed I had enjoyed myself, learning more about Yves Rocher products and what’s suitable for me as recommended by the professionals. So next time, I would know instantly which product is most suited for me at Yves Rocher.
