Being in a marathon running 21KM is a wonderful experience and so does taking part in my very first movie marathon is a memorable one. Last weekend, Twilight fans gathered together on a 10 hours movie marathon from 12am till 10am with TGV Cinemas at Wangsa Walk.
Twilight Saga movie marathon passes. We’ll be watching the very first Twilight starting at 12am midnight up till Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 on the epic ending.
3 halls were taken up for the movie marathon. The passes are given out on TGV Cinemas Facebook, HitzFm & NTV7.
I didn’t sleep for the entire night. Being a Vampire for one night.
Before the movie, I got to try out the fried ice cream and had my supper at Box Office Cafe located beside TGV.
TGV Cinemas provided us popcorns & coke. We were also treated as if we’re at home, TGV were kind enough to open up the snack bar throughout the entire night just in case we’ve got late night cravings.
With siesta Amelia and my cushion.
So I made myself comfortable to survive through the Twilight Saga by having or rather conquering the Twin/couple seat all by myself!
Honestly, although I tend to sleep very late like 4 or 5am usually but I wasn’t sure if I could survive throughout the marathon. I did stayed wide awake despite having lots of yawns throughout the movie. I’m used to watching dramas online for 8 hours or so non stop, so I do know my limits on staying awake. Being in a cinema for 10 hours is indeed a different experience as watching dramas at home.
There are a few tips to take part in a movie marathon and some of the stuff you should bring with you. A blanket or thick scarf to cover yourself is a must as it does get cold after a couple of hours. Bring a cushion or small pillow so you can rest your head or hug throughout the movie. Water is a must, bring sufficient water for yourself – too much coke isn’t very good for long hours. Wear comfortable and lose clothing, avoid tight jeans you can opt to wear yoga pants or leggings or anything you feel most comfortable in as you’ll be sitting for long hours. During break time if there is, make sure you take a walk and stretch your body to avoid cramps. Lastly, stay focus and enjoy the movie.
The next morning breakfast was served! Most of us were delighted to have a cup of hot coffee in our hands.
Actually I’m not a Twilight fan myself – I wouldn’t considered myself to be one too. I’ve only watched the first movie of Twilight and for some reason I wasn’t interested in the other series but the finale was an exception and so I decided to take part in the movie marathon, courtesy of TGV Cinema.
Kristen Stewart character were different this time around. From an awkward high school teen turning into seductive, strong and fierce young lady. It is nice to re-watch all the other series of Twilight before watching Breaking Dawn Part 2. It links the emotions together.
In Breaking Dawn Part 2, after giving birth to Renesmee, Bella is enjoying her new life and powers. However, their family bliss is threatened again, by a new menace. Vampire Irina believes a child like Renesmee could challenge the power and existence of the Volturi. As Irina rallies the Volturi to destroy this potential threat, Bella and the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi.
No doubt, Twilight is a beautiful love story between Bella and Edward. Nor do I doubt the epic ending scene. The fight was breath-taking. It was well done by all the characters, the battle between the Cullens Family together with other vampires and wolfs against the Volturi – each individual with their unique character and special powers, it was amazing. The CG effects were so real. Despite how epic the finale was, the twist made it a good ending.
Bella & Edward, forever it is.
I feel that Twilight Saga is a good movie to watch in a marathon. I’ve certainly enjoyed it and as Chris Tock said, we’re Twivivors! Have you took part in any movie marathon? Do share 🙂
