On my weekend getaway trip to the Lion City, my main purpose was to catch Le Noir. I’ve read amazing reviews, so I wanted to experience it myself.
I’ve got to admit, I’m not a huge fan of live performances be it stand up comedy shows or musical performances, nevertheless this time it was different. Mariana Bay Sands Theater in Singapore features numerous exciting live performances many that are on going currently and coming soon – Dirty Dancing, STOMP, Phantom of the Opera and many more.
So finally, here I am at Le Noir where most of their crew was formerly from Cirque Du Soleil.
There isn’t any storyline throughout the show but rather it’s a string of performances by acrobatics, dancers and comedian. The opening act was specular, it started off gracefully in an angelic way followed by breathtaking stunts with lots of lighting effect coupled with colour coordinated fantasy costumes.
The circus master acted as a comedic character to engage and interact with the audience, ensuring the audience had an enjoyable time during interval between acts.
Le Noir is “risqué, seductive and at times hilariously naughty” as described on the official website. I find it kinky and brilliant.
Le Noir reveals the intimate side of cirque at close proximity engaging with audience through a unique 360° viewing experience.
Throughout the show, beautiful parades of dancers and acrobats circulated around the theater. In addition, being seated so close to the stage on the 3rd row; I witnessed each and every act in awe.
Though without a storyline, Le Noir was well compiled into a specular performance where each act is fast paced while at times hilariously naughty yet humorous and highly entertaining.
It was amazing, every single one of the dancers, acrobats and not forgetting the mischievous circus master!

I had certainly enjoyed my time at MBS theater and my stay at New Majestic Hotel (a must stay if your at Singapore), happening only right now in Singapore. I’ll certainly be back as my all time favourite will be showcasing in July, I’m a huge fan of Phantom of the Opera! Currently looking out for affordable flight tickets on Air Asia, they do have promotion every now and then.
