Boat trip sightseeing on wildlife in the Kinabatangan river which is known to be Sabah’s longest river in search for Proboscis Monkeys and other wildlife thanks to Firefly and Sabah Tourism Board for such an amazing experience! It’s been a day of Monkeys since our visit to Orang Utan.
Let the adventure begin! We’e super excited even on the boat some of us just can’t stop tweeting & facebooking. Talk about going back to nature, when you bring some tech savvy and social media friendly people on a wildlife trip, you’ll hear phone ringing and people start talking on the phone as we start the boating trip. Well this time around I’m the only blogger on this FAM trip but I had some good fun with a group of tour agents!
that’s how many of us well some are tourist and we get some minor traffic congestion on the river but the whole experience was just amazing! You get to see so many people all trying to see where the snake, monkey or bird are while all of us trying to point where the wildlife are.
SNAKE! look…it’s on top. Up the tree!!! and we’ll ask…Where, Where? Those expression were priceless indeed!
Yeap can you spot the monkey? Apologize that I don’t have any zoom lens so you’ll need to squeeze your eyes and look for the monkey just like how we did on the boating trip… spotted yet? I’m sure this one was pretty obvious.
what a beauty. Very elegant.
We spotted some monkeys (ALOT of them but only spotted one Proboscis Monkey while the rest are the red butt ones which are pretty common), some said they spotted snakes but I couldn’t see as it’s just blends with the branches high up on the trees. We spotted birds yeap. That’s about it for a 40min plus boat trip.
What’s cooking, giant Prawns. Next before the sky gets dark we went to Borneo Nature Longue, it’s a hotel but you’ll need to take a boat to the place as it’s deep inside the forest while the place is just beautiful as if your camping outside the jungle but in a cozy hotel room. Don’t worry, I can still tweet while I’m there so connection is available, it’s a great getaway from the busy city life and enjoy the connection with nature.
yums yum. That’s my dinner and I had 4 of them! Very fresh and juicy. This is what we ber-buka puasa with great stuff.
look at the juice from it’s head. Wootxxx
Mee Mamak slight difference but not bad.
Dinning in the dark surrounded by nature. After a good buffet dinner with giant prawns our stomachs are filled up and time to tour around the longue.
it’s quite dark but with the fire surrounded the pathway it’s alright to walk.
One of the rooms great and cozy. That wraps up my 2nd Day in Sandakan and as we took the boat and head back to Swiss Inn hotel in the town for a goodnight rest and more fun continues the next day!
