During my visit to Butter + Beans at Seventeen yesterday, I discovered CafeHop KL and though finally, someone complied coffee places apart from myself which I saved coffee spots into a list on Foursquare.

CafeHop KL is a mapping project mapping independent cafes around Kuala Lumpur. They have made a user-friendly website as well as printed copies to distribute among 28 cafes that have supported this project. Cafes are chosen based on a combination of good coffee, good food, good service and/or good vibes in general. Read more about CafeHop KL here.

Over the past 2 years, we see numerous café and coffee places mushrooming up in the Klang Valley area, most which I’ve bookmarked, some are on my to-do list. Having a compiled list of coffee places like CafeHop KL would certainly help many Malaysians or visitors discover decent coffee place that offers a great ambience.

Along with the small booklet, there are some tips for café hopping which provide informative knowledge to coffee. Some of these tips which I’ve also explained to friends over café hopping. All in all, this is a good guide.

You might wonder, so how to get a copy? Well, CafeHop KL provides a physical map (like the one below) and an online map.

The physical map looks like this, whereby you can collect a free copy at selected cafes, details of their addresses are here. So while you get a coffee fix, don’t forget to grab a copy!

As for the online map, it is available at CafeHop KL website, www.cafehopkl.com/map.html.

Have fun discovering Cafes in KL and PJ, do share your favourite café/coffee places with me too, I’ll love to visit if I haven’t visited.

CafeHop KL is proudly supported by Barista Guild Asia, Coffex Coffee, Dankoff Coffee Specialist, Auresso and Cuppa.

Follow CafeHop KL on Facebook to get the coffee tips, update and sneak peek at new cafes!
