We’ve all got unwanted items laying around in our wardrobe, bookshelves, unwanted gifts from friends sitting in the room. It’s time to showcase these items and hopefully, someone would notice and appreciate them on Carousell.
Now you can do so, again. Last month Friendly Fashion had announced closing down the community of trading, selling new and pre-loved items online. Many users were frustrated but fret not, Carousell (the lifestyle marketplace) app is here to provide a platform to connect users together over items ranging from apparels, beauty products, books, gadgets, art and design, and many more.
Carousell is a Singapore-based startup, which had initially planned to launch some time in August this year but had brought forward their plans to provide Friendly Fashion members with a new home. Carousell is a free mobile app available on iPhone and Android (beta) to Snap, List, Sell as well as shop for new and pre-loved items at your finger tips.

Here’s a short introduction video about Carousell.
The power of social media enables sharing conveniently within the Carousell app of listings to friends and followers. Listing an item on Carousell is as simple as posting a photo on Instagram – with filters, details columns about product description, price and venue (connecting with foursquare) on CODs.
I’ve been using Carousell for about 2 weeks now and had sold an item via postage, while another 3 item on pending (reserved). I find it really convenient and I could finally dispose of unwanted items to people who will appreciate them before it expires or filled with dust sitting on the rack.
The bright side, anyone can shop on Carousell without having to visit the bustling busy flee markets of pre-loved stores. Did I mention, some designer do showcase their creative artwork and hand-made items on Carousell!

In addition, stand a chance to win an iPad mini by singing up to Carousell before 31st August 2013, as part of the celebration of Carousell launch in Malaysia.
Carousell is available for free download on the iPhone App Store and Google Play. For more information visit thecarousell.com.
