last night on 26 March, YTL hosted Earth Hour 2011 at Rooftop Lot 10, KL. Malaysia. “Forest in the City” overlooking both Tallest tower in Kuala Lumpur the KL Tower and KLCC mats were on the grass its as if we were just at a field or park as we chill and await to countdown for LIGHTS OUT.

KL Tower view. This year marks a greater Earth Hour as more places and cooperation participate Earth Hour. The Star news online features a long list of all the venues that had events during Earth Hour, Malaysia (link). It’s glad to see everyone taking part in their roles while coming out to gather in support of Earth Hour. It’s has became a celebration now since Earth Hour started. Looking at Malaysia taking part and playing roles in Earth Hour really makes me a proud Malaysia. In fact, I was surprise when a friend told me he was in UK yet Earth Hour wasn’t a big thing and the lights were still ON.

The best part of YTL Rooftop Lot 10 was, we are putting in an extra 30 minutes of Lights Out compared to the original 60 minutes we did 90 minutes of Lights Out! Hence, the magnificent view when buildings were back with lights!
Well this year was somewhat different! As last year I got stuck in the Jam while…watching buildings lights out. Burning fuel ain’t helping the environment especially during Earth Hour.
