Map of Sibu Central Market, the hawker stall we went are all located at the Level 2!
In Malaysia especially the East Malaysia, their Central markets are very clean! Plus the hawker area on the top floor are usually very famous for it’s local favorites. You can see young working adult in formal as well as aunties with their grandchildren having their breakfast. If your a budget traveller, Central Markets are great as their food are affordable and cheap yet you get to taste the local flavors.
The famous Keuh Teow with Deep Fried Pork served in Soup for RM 3.50 only! Served in soup.
Before my trip I read about this in google as their Keuh Teow are slightly chubbier compared to West Malaysia hence it’s a must try! It’s also very thick tender and soft.
Don’t forget to try the Chili too. It’s extra sour and spicy! Goes well with the plain Keuh Teow soup.
this is the Stall “Since 1940, The Original Homemade Kueh Teow with Deep-Fried Pork”.
Spring Noodles comes with zha york (fried pork), 2 mini fish balls, beancurb, and wan ton (dumplings)
Stall Number 26, located the next row from the Keuh Teow stall
Also the Beef noodles using spring noodles. This popular Number 25, stall sold out all it’s spring noodles (This is the last bowl already) at just 8.40am! So you gotta be the early birdy to get it!

Black Coffee for RM 1 tasty, anyways we’re in Sandakan, worth to give it a shot.
You can also get some cheap nice coffee at the Ground floor of the market, there’s a chinese stall selling packs of coffee for RM 3, RM 5 and RM 10 varies from sizes of small to big!
