Marufuku Udon, JayaOne

Shannon Chow · July 18, 2011 · 6 Comments

I was craving for Udon lately and so…after visiting the sister restaurant of Sanuki Udon in Taman Bukit Desa, I decided to come back and have a bowl of Udon from Marufuku again. I’ve been in love with this place at JayaOne and soon visiting frequently in Taylor’s Lakeside Campus as they had a branch there. This place was recommended by my friend a foodie Marcky!
The thing I liked about their concept besides cheap and affordable a bowl of Udon (House Special) cost only RM 6 while it comes with egg and you can have your choice of side dish which starts from RM 2 to RM 5 only! Talk about customizing your udon!
their menu
Kakiage Pumpkin (RM 2) deep fried strips of onion, carrot and toped with pumpkin.
Cha Cheong Udon (RM 7) Strips of cucumber and cha cheong sauce which are slightly sweet in flavor and sprinkles of onions.
Niku Udon (RM 10) Udon in soup serve with Beef and vegetables with sprinkles of onions. The soup is clear and refreshing you can taste it’s from homemade and not filled with ajinomoto. This is my favorite so far besides the House Special Udon.
Karaage (RM 3) deep fried chicken with a pinch of chili powder.
Lastly, you should try the desserts! This is Daifuku with Red Bean (RM 4) unfortunately my visit this time they sold out hence this picture was taken few months back when I first tried it. I love the red bean as it’s soft and tender goes well with Daifuku also known as mochi (glutinous rice cake).
