We’ve seen advertisements saying how fast the 4G network is, living on social network, internet and data plans is a necessity for me on a daily basis. Last weekend during the Maxis 4G LTE Bloggers Blaze, I got to experience Maxis 4G LTE speed as we were given a series of challenges that require both physical agility as well as the super-quick Maxis 4G LTE connection. The challenge demonstrate the coverage and speed of Maxis 4G LTE speed by associating with activities containing elements of speed, adrenaline and high energy levels. The participants consist of Malaysia’s most active Internet users – top lifestyle and tech bloggers – divided into a team of 4 to race against each team in speed.
I was in team Jaguar
Together with Sarah, Ariff and Kheirul.
There are 5 challenges to complete, the team which complete each task the fastest wins.
Our first challenge was to scan QR codes on balloons in our starting point at Curve. These QR codes enables us to get our 1st clue based on a location so we can proceed to get our car keys.
The 2nd challenge was a Drag Race. This we were thankful for Maxis 4G LTE speed, it took us only seconds to download the game into our Samsung device and start racing.
Next stop, our 3rd challenge was Go-Kart Racing in Sunway Lagoon! Again, uploading 3 photos was just a snap of the finger with Maxis 4G LTE, we were able to upload pictures of our team members who had completed the race onto Google Plus. Which leads us to our next clue.
4th challenge was a little tough as it requires physical strength and speed, it was wall climbing at MadMonkeyz Climbing Gym in Wangsa Maju. While chilling with other bloggers we were trying to overcome our fears of height.
Our 4th challenge requires us to complete the task of taking the flag at the top and placing it back and posting a video of us doing so by uploading it onto Google Plus. The name “MadMonkeyz” does indicate how different wall climbing is here, we had to take a leap like monkey. Overall it was tiring but fun!
The Maxis 4G LTE speed of uploading our video was insane, we had no idea it was uploaded as it was quick. Well which means, we got our clues and heading back to Curve to finish up our last task.
5th challenge was a watermelon nightmare. We had to finish up a quarter of the watermelon with our face.
One thing is for sure, no watermelon for the coming days.
Another thing, I’ve considered long and hard on switching to Maxis, now after experiencing 4G myself I would say about 98% for sure will be switching over. Just looking at Maxis Data plans for the moment as I’m pretty hard-core in data usage so I wanted something to satisfy me in terms of speed and quota.
Was an interesting Sunday. Had fun and enjoyed the Bloggers Blaze.
Completed all challenges. Our team didn’t won anything but we are glad friendships were formed. One of our member Ariff was unwell and vomited, none of us complained yet we all helped to clean up after him. That to me was true team work. Ariff never gave excuse not to climb when he was having headache nor did he gave up on our team. Kudos team Jaguar!
Ben was a great Emcee, kept us all pumped up as early as 8AM on Sunday till 2pm.
2nd runner up, Team Leopard walked away with iPad Mini and Maxis portable WiFi mobile device.
Grand prize winner, Team Stallion walks away with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Maxis portable WiFi device.
Group photo and that’s a wrap for Maxis 4G LTE Bloggers Blaze. More photos on Maxis Malaysia Facebook Album.
