This is the wonderful “Palace” I stayed in during my BALI trip last week for 6 days! It does feel like a total ancient princess! Will be reviewing Melia Bali in this post as well drop a few tips about the place and Bali. Cool? and there’s Lots of Pictures to share!
Melia is located in Nusa Dua, about 25 minutes drive from the airport and town area.
MELIA BALI, the hotel where arts, traditional design and lots of greens are all you see here!
I fell in love instantly upon entering the hotel. It’s 5 star however, it’s decor and design is not your regular classy hotel. The entire place is open air, filled with lots of statue, greens and art pieces. It really gives you a feel of a huge palace.
We were greeted with welcome drinks while settling our check in.
The lobby and registration counter.
There’s a Lounge, where I hang around at night checking emails at a cost of RM 20 per hour for internet usage!
However, if you order a drink you will receive a complimentary wifi for 1 hour. (Drinks prices ranges from RM 15 – RM 30++ for non-alcoholic). Ice Tea (Traditional) it’s refreshing as you can taste the tea are not those from tea bags.
greens and fountain
We checked into the family room or suite. Which is a 1 and a half floor. I got to stay upstair as my parents didn’t want to climb up the stairs.
Comfort welcomes me.
There are lots of activities in the hotel which I practically enjoy under the sun.
Outdoor spa is avilable
Pool activities.
Schedule. I got to take part in the water aerobics which was in the morning. It was indeed fun and I got to meet a few guest while doing the aerobics together.
Sun bathing with adequate chairs or benches.
chess and ping pong are avilable in the resort. Other facilities includes Badminton court, Tennis, Gym and a Library for you to borrow books!
The hotel have it’s own private beach shared with the other hotels in Nusa Dua. Westin is located next to Melia.
Around day time you can see the local bringing items such as pearls, beads, bangles, necklaces, sarong, dresses, sun glasses and other items to sell by the beach! If it’s a good buy, make sure you bargin! Prices can drop to 50% till 70% off! I’ve got 3 bangles for 65,000 Rupiah instead of 2 bangles for 130,000 Rupiah! Such a big difference!
It’s a good place to hunt for some souvenirs, but be sure to shop from the town souvenir stall or the nearest mall known as Bali Collection in this resort area of Nusa Dua which is just 15mins walk from Melia Bali Hotel.
The entire pathway around the hotel is filled with beautiful greenery.
A treat to show appreciation and share the joyful moments of newlyweds on their honeymoon and couples on their anniversary trip.
Spotted rooms with their own private pool!
That’s “my place in Bali”, for accommodation it was about RM 3.5K for 6 days in Melia Hotel.
I was suppose to stay in Westin Bali however they had been fully booked, however, I did not regret as Westin Bali has a morden style as compared to Melia it’s more traditional. I prefer this as am in Bali, Indonesia I enjoy the unique style Melia has.
Melia Hotel is located in Nusa Dua, where coming into Nusa Dua requires 1 tight security check and another security check at each hotel. There are a few hotels in Nusa Dua and it’s 30 Minutes away from town in Depensar Kuta, Bali where the airport is. Quite far from town but it’s a resort so it’s suppose to stay away from town. If your looking for relaxation.
PS: In Kuta here, you feel like your in Hawaii or something. 80% are from the West! While the staff mistaken me for being a Japanese while a guest had mistaken me as a Taiwanese!
