I don’t normally do cute manicure but this time around is an exception.
To get started, I prep my nails with a little trim and buffing then scrub. I only apply cuticle oil/cream on my nails after the nail polish is fully dry. For Ice Cream nails I’m using Revlon Double Twist for base and top coat, OPI in Pink Friday and Etude House Mint Cream Nails.
I got my Etude House Ice Cream Nails during their press launch in Bangsar. Later on, I was inspired to melt my nails from the simple tutorial on Etude House Global Facebook.
Step 1: After 1 layer of base coat. I used only 1 coat of OPI Pink Friday, as I was rushing to pack my bag for Singapore getaway, so I wanted my nails to dry as soon as possible. The reason I choose pastel pink was so it looks candylicious, you can use any other pastel colours – just be creative.
Step 2: I used Etude House Mint Cream and carefully but simply just dap along the center of my nails creating melting effect. You don’t have to be perfect in the melting process, just simply gently dap along creating 1 longer stroke and 2 shorter stroke and it will give you a perfect melting effects.
Step 3: Once your satisfied with the melting effect, after 5 minutes just dap on a 2nd or 3rd layer of Mint Cream Nail polish to give it a thicker feel and perhaps a 3D effect.
Step 4: Once everything is dried, it would take about 20 mins or less, just apply a top coat and you’ve got your delicious melting ice cream on your nails.
This is my final result. Don’t mind my chapped cuticle, it’s pretty dry and I’ve been lazy to apply cuticle cream over the week.
PS: Warning against Nails biting. Don’t bite off those delicious cute nails, for I know they are pretty tempting!
Etude House Ice Cream nails comes in 4 different colours. You can apply it over on your nails like any other nail polish and it sparkles with glitters.
