Rasa Sayang Cafe @ Sibu, Sarawak

Shannon Chow · July 25, 2011 · 6 Comments

We were in sibu Thanks to Arthur Wee for recomending this place to Chris Tock and we had our lunch here in Rasa Sayang Cafe.
the cafe concept is very simple with 3 of their popular dish thats all and drinks. Plain and simple but nice.  You can see Rebecca giving orders. She’s in charge when it comes to food.
Mee Laksa (RM 3.50) Bean sprout, toufu, egg and curry. Not so tasty as the curry just lack of coconut taste perhaps and you could tell as the 3 of us don’t touch this bowl as much as we do to the other 2 bowls. 😉
Mee Sapi (RM 4.50) beef noodles with herbal soup. We almost finish the entire bowl of soup as the herbs are rich and filled with carrots, egg and tender beef meat with the noodles.
Kampua Mee (RM 3.50) The Char Siew are very tasty and the sauce were sweet and salty. Plus the lard makes the entire bowl of Kampua mee taste extra good! Simple yet sinfully satisfying! We ordered another bowl and finished both of them up! yums!
Soya Bean and Tiga Masam. The price of the food are very cheap maximum is only RM 4.50 per bowl!
Tiga masam it’s 3 types of sour mix together which consist of lime, lemon and masam. Extra sour and very refreshing drink on a hot afternoon.

This Tock! Told him to go and eat the kampua -in my opinion, the best in Sibu…and he took you all toeat all three.Ya…the laksa ain’t great – I could have told you all that…and I’m not a fan of the beef noodles either – don’t like this particular spicy style.
