
Sandakan Memorial Park is a place filled with rich history during the world war 2 in Sandakan where the Death March took place.

The park currently, it is a must visit if your in Sandakan as this place is in memory of all those in the Death March a walk from here to Ranau during the second world war. If googled is accurate the walk from Sandakan to Ranau is about 219KM imagine you gotta walk for more than a day just to reach Ranau.

Sandakan Memorial park now remains as a memorable place for all especially to surviving families and friends who had someone sacrifice during the death march. It’s only takes about 15 – 20 minutes to walk the entire park. The park is a recreational park now for local residents some come here doing their evening walks or jogs as well just relaxing in the quiet park.
