Sibu Central Market, The Largest Market in Malaysia

Shannon Chow · August 15, 2011 · 4 Comments

Was on the FAM Trip in Sibu and we headed towards the Malaysia Largest Central Market in Sibu!
beware there’s NON-HALAH content below!

lots of variety of food selling here

the chicken…

ducks…they are alive by the way!
these are what we called Angry Bird in Sibu, they are just being in pain waiting to be sold to customers. The vendors wrap the chickens and ducks in newspapers and tied time to prevent them from running away.

Have you seen a PIG Head before? I mean real ones…
the uncle was so kind as I was a city girl I’ve got to admit this is my first Central Market I’ve spent the longest time in for a hour plus I was here! Anyways, the uncle saw my curiosity and took the Pig head down for me to snap picture! Lamo! He just couldn’t imagine I hadn’t seen one as I’m a chinese. LOL!
the boy is just adorable looking at all the raw meat with blood! His expression is priceless!
The market above sells clothes and accessories…
as well as Hawker center! The Central market is just so clean compared to our KL ones are just terrible. I remember when I was a kid I followed Grandma to the market and it’s just stuffy and you can’t breath besides it’s flooded too! Gosh, the East Malaysia is so much better! Clean and ventilation are great! The rental per stall cost less than RM 60 per month! It’s super cheap!

    I think you mean non-halal

    not HALAH.

Halal means “lawful”, and pig is not
