Tokyo Disneyland (Halloween Themed)

Shannon Chow · September 21, 2014 · 2 Comments

Just before I turned 24, a childhood wish came true to – I visited Disneyland.
Although I had the chance to visit Hong Kong Disneyland in July, many of my friends persuade me to wait for Tokyo Disneyland as it’s much bigger than Hong Kong. Indeed it was plus, the atmosphere in Tokyo Disneyland was great.

Many visitors (especially couples) took the effort to dress up as their favourite Disney Character in conjunction with the Halloween Dress Up contest.

I’ve spotted too many Elsa and Anna from Frozen and some adorable ducklings. There was Tinklebell and Peter Pan as well as Cinderella, not to mention Ariel, Beauty and the Beast, Aladin and Jasmine. Eventually we realised that those holding handbags and camera are guest instead of crew members.

Our tired face but managed to pull a smile before leaving.

Disneyland turned out to be just alright, most of us got annoyed at the long wait for each ride estimated about 60 – 90 minutes for a short 1 – 3 minutes of fun. Everywhere was filled with people and eventually we didn’t want to wait for the fireworks as our legs were hurting from all the queuing.

It was a great day with good weather and I realised that I’ve missed out the fairytale park after exit, except for Snow White ride. Will certainly visit other Disneyland in future, and be back with friends who are into Disney!

There are TWO Disneyland in Tokyo, the Land and the Sea. Take note that DisneySea is only available in Tokyo. You may get a two parks entrance ticket at a special rate. For more information about Tokyo Disneyland, click here.

Transport: Maihama Station (JR) there’s also a private Disney Resort Line for Disney Sea.

Tips: Ensure you study the Disneyland map before entering, wear comfortable shoes, carry along an umbrella for sunny/rainy days, if only it’s allowed bring a foldable chair. For souvenir shopping, be prepare to squeeze through crowds and make a souvenir shopping list before entering the stores (in case you missed out any item, on your way to Maihama Station, you can shop at Bon Voyage).

Stay: I stayed at Hilton Tokyo Bay it’s part of the Tokyo Disney Resort Official Hotels, which is only 10 minutes away from Disney Land and Maihama Station.

I’ve always wondered this. If some of the rides are in Japanese, does that mean Mickey speaks in Japanese too?
