After my Kuching, Sarawak trip I came back KL for just 1 night and the next day I went to Kota Kinabalu for holiday before Firefly media trip 3 days later… indeed an exciting January I had. And guess what I didn’t actually plan properly what am gonna do in KK and randomly posted status on Facebook this Sabah blogger Hayden replied and immediately (randomly) we met up and he hosted me by bring me around lots of food and places to be in KK! And we came to know each other in person and his an awesome guy!
Before checking into Tune, Hayden gave us a tour around in University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) which was located beside 1Borneo Mall and Tune Hotel.
1Borneo
Tune hotel is a budget hotel. The room was small however, I booked in advance so it was rather affordable. I’ve topped up for wifi and air-cond for my stay. Basic necessity are in the room such as hangers, hair dryer, a side table for laptop, and there’s a TV however you are required to pay extra should you decide to watch it. Bed wise, it’s comfortable and clean, so far so good.
The shower room was small, I presume if your larger in size, this may be a problem. Shower works fine as water pressure are strong too.
Overall, being a budget or affordable stay, the location wise is 30 minutes away from town, however there are free shuttle service from Borneo Mall to town. Plus, being located next to or rather inside a mall, this is a very strategic location as basic needs like mineral water or anything can be bought at the mall.
Plus, my room is facing the main road, so I got a sunset view!
