Massage relaxes your body and relief stiff muscles caused by stress or sting in front of the computer for long hours. My shoulders tend to feel stiff and after getting my first full body massage two years ago, I’ll go for massage whenever I could. I could feel the changes almost immediately after a full body massage, it feels lighter and I could sleep better at night.
I’ve always explored different spa/massage centre, however due to time constrain I don’t blog about my experience, but would leave comments on Foursquare. This time around, I was invited by Urban Retreat to do a review and although location wise, it’s rather far but I reckon, if they are good I could share a new place and possibly another potential massage centre for myself.
Urban Retreat Spa provides a comforting, yet stimulating, atmosphere in which customers are able to relax both their body and mind, reconnecting their daily lives to their true purpose through massage. Urban Retreat Spa established itself as a dependable destination in which people can always come to rejuvenate their energies and escape from the stresses of work.

I’ve also notice some shoppers getting shoulder and leg massages. Upon arrival, I was greeted by my Masseuse.
Foot bath are my ultimate favourite. It’s easy yet after a long day and rushing to the venue, a foot bath help calms your body. Most massage centre provides foot bath and it’s a bonus point!
The hot oil being prepared by my masseuse. She was friendly and explained the procedure before leaving the room so I could change.
The room. The basic essential, of disposable underwear more like a thong and towels. Room temperature was perfect and relaxing background music was nice.
I had the 90 minutes Aromatherapy Massage with add-on hot oil to remove water retention in my body. Throughout the entire massage, in terms of strength it was just nice for me. My masseuse also chats with me at the initial stage of massage to make sure I was feeling okay and prompted if there’s any key areas to focus, so I gladly told her it’s my shoulders as I constantly spend long hours seated in front of the computer. 90 minutes of massage is the best, not too rush for the masseuse and I was able to relax. At the end of the massage, warm towel was used to remove excess oil on the surface of my body. I find that thoughtful, as I wouldn’t want to walk into a mall feeling oily on my body. Overall, the massage was great and you’ll know if a massage is good or not after the next morning or the following week.
After the massage, I was invited to take a seat and sip on ginger tea. Lovely place, and having a massage centre in a mall is great for some, as parking wouldn’t be an issue (there’s basement car park) as compared to massage centre in shop lots. If I could rate it I would say it’s overall I’ll give it a 4.5/5.
