Waxing with Veet EasyGrip Ready-to-Use Wax Strips

Shannon Chow · January 10, 2013 · 3 Comments

Hello ladies, hands up if you wax. I do! It’s been more of an addiction since I started waxing during my high school days after having smooth hairless legs.
Weekend is coming, I’m looking forward to wearing pretty dresses and an opportunity to flaunt my legs. So today it’s my first time trying out Veet EasyGrip Ready-to-Use Wax Strips in Velvet Rose.

I don’t and had never tried waxing in saloons. I normally wax my legs and bikini line myself. I’m afraid of the pain actually. I normally use the Veet waxing cream but today I’m finally trying out their waxing strips.

The whole package comes in simple instructions and 18 wax strips + 4 finish wipes. So I’m guessing we could wax 4 times as there’s only 4 wipes. It also comes with an instruction guide in just 5 simple steps with picture.

First you rub the piece of wax strips in your palms to heat it up before tearing it into half and place on the area where you want to wax. In this case, my thighs. You don’t have to wait for a few minutes like the Veet waxing cream, just paste it and get ready to peel off as quickly as possible and make sure at the correct direction – against of hair growth.

Here’s my hair! Peeled off. I used a total of 3 strips here to wax my entire thighs. After the wax, use the wipes provided to clean up the wax which some patches may be stuck on your skin. The wipe is pleasant and moisturizes your skin after waxing. My verdict, the wax strips can be used only two times as the stickiness doesn’t stick after the 2nd peel. There’s a very light scent of rose, which is great as it’s not too strong where some of their waxing cream do smell sometimes.

The amount of pain when peeling is tolerable, it’s like someone pinching you. I wouldn’t recommend waxing the first time on bikini line, best to try it on your legs first. However, I actually prefer using waxing cream over the strips as cream allows you flexibility, whereas this strips could only cover a certain area – which some areas of my thighs still have hair un-waxed.

To do a proper wax you’ll have to use a couple of strips which is not very economical – as one packet may last you for 3 – 4 wax only? The plus points for Veet EasyGrip waxing strips is time consuming. I don’t have to wait a couple of minutes before removing the wax, I can do it instantly which is quicker and saves time – plus wipes are provided to clean up the wax & you don’t have to wash up the area after wax like the cream based. Overall, I’m still satisfied with the result. You can get Veet products at all pharmacies and hypermarkets. For more info stay tune on their Facebook at Veet Malaysia.

Will you try Veet EasyGrip wax strips and wax at the comfort of your home?

I agree with you! the best thing about Veet is its not time consuming at all! you can get it done in a jiffy, and you don’t even have to get someone’s help. you can do it on your own! also, no need to go to the parlour anymore! it is very affordable and the skin feels wonderful after waxing!
