Whisk Outpost

Whisk

Whisk Outpost is a place for great coffee and homemade cakes. I’ve been to Whisk at Empire, however I’ve always wanted to visit Whisk Outpost, last week I had the opportunity to arrive early before an event, had the time to kill, I was craving for cold brew. The friendly barista and a staff or perhaps might be the owner himself, welcomed me to the cozy cafe, filled with dark wooden tables and colourful text on the tall mirror stating their coffee offerings. I’ve been following Whisk for a while and a fan of their cakes, this visit I knew specifically what I wanted, didn’t mind the staff trying to introduce drinks for me, I picked up the cold brew and paid for it.

To go along with my coffee, I ordered their scone it was nice and could have been better if it was served with cream, nevertheless I was happy with the strawberry jam (reckon it’s different from elsewhere). Their house blend cold brew was not what I expected, was hopping it could impress me. It was too milky, as if I was drinking dutch lady chocolate milk, the blend was obviously quite light to my taste. However, not many places serves cold brew and Whisk is one of it, I’ll want to come back and try their Single Origin cold brew (promise to share my updated review at this post later on).

Homemade Cold Brew

Cold Brew is a type of brewing method, normally it’s tedious a process which requires about 12-hours and served chilled in dark glass bottles. It’s a different taste as compared to having coffee through espresso machine. If you’ve not tried cold brew, Whisk Outpost is one place for you to explore.
