Sanuki Udon, Taman Bukit Desa

Have you heard of Marufuku Udon? If you had then this is where it started in a little shop located at Taman Bukit Desa of Taman Desa where it first started 1 year plus ago. The menu serves the exact same food as Marufuku just slightly cheaper by RM 1 or RM 2 bucks. Taste wise I’ll elaborate further…

The House Special Udon in Egg (RM 5) udon with egg just stir and mix well. This is one of my favorite you can add a bit of chili powder for extra flavour. The Sanuki noodle are famous (wheat noodle). I’ve been in love with Marufuku in Jaya One and Taylor’s Lakeside Campus as well now getting to know it’s original place of the noodle just makes me excited. I was informed about this place by my aunt over lunch earlier and by evening I just went to search for the shop.

Original Soup (RM 5) serve cold or hot, a bowl of udon with the original soup and vegetables. But I love it to be served hot. It’s a plain bowl of noodle soup, you can order the side dishes which starts from only RM   1 and ranges to RM 3!

side orders

 the menu

Edamame (RM 3) a plate, Steam Green Soybeans topped with a pinch of salt.

Ebi Tempura (RM 1 per piece) deep fried prawn Tempura style and Kakiage Ebi (RM 2) fried slice of carrots, onions and prawns. Love the onion taste it taste better here as compared to Marufuku as the aroma of the onions are richer. If you don’t like onions then this may not be your choice.

The deep fried Chicken, Karaage (RM 3) for 3 pieces. Best eat it with the chili powder to add on a pinch of spiciness.Get the refillable Green Tea for only (RM 1) per glass.

I’ve tried Sanuki Udon. Somehow, I think the udon is quite rubbery to my taste. And the portion is so small.

Indeed. I wasn’t a big fan of Udon but after I tried Marufuku I’m in love with them and this is their first outlet before they started other branches =)
