Dian Xiao Er, Vivo City @ Singapore

Shannon Chow · July 18, 2012 · Leave a Comment

After a day at Universal Studio, I recommended Dian Xiao Er to the boyfie fluffy as they’ve got the best herbal duck I’ve ever tasted! A place you must stop by for a meal when your in Singapore!
Dian Xiao Er symbolizes a pit-stop for travelers (customers) to rest and replenish their energy fully before setting off to continue their hectic journeys again. Dian Xiao Er not only provides to the travelers a place of warmth, satisfaction and happiness as they indulge in the delectable dishes, it is also a place for them to interact and build relationships with one another. Dian Xiao Er also symbolizes an element of blessing and fellowship as everyone is brought together in Dian Xiao Er.
Freshly roasted duck in the display kitchen.
Duck Roasted with Angelica Herb
Tender juicy roasted duck served with herbs (Dang Gui), amazing flavours. The boyfie loves it too! First time I see his refilling his rice over dinner, so the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach? *winks*

Dong Po Pork
Well marinated with spices and served with special Dong Po sauce.
Baby Kai-Lan w Salted Fish & Lime
Quoted from the boyfie “A plate of vegi with it’s aroma and flavours are enough for me to finish a bowl of rice itself.” Simple dishes I like, yet Dian Xiao Er flavours to it’s simplest dishes are amazing! Not salty but just perfect in taste, one word – Delicious.
Soup of The Day with steamed rice.
Soup of the day.
The ambience at Dian Xiao Er is rustic and raw similar to the traditional chinese restaurants in China during those Kung Fu times.
Experience a choice of dining ambience varying from dining inside a traditional Chinese inn to dining inside a rustic timber shed at the foot of a stone cliff.
Some of the chef recommended dishes on display.2 Pax Family set which includes all the dishes above for only SGD 42 excluding drinks, 10% service charge & 7% GST. Dian Xiao Er offers a variety of family set menu, take a look at it here.

Famous for it’s freshly roasted herbal duck, Dian Xiao Er is a great place for family dinner, serves delicious chinese food with amazing flavours at middle price range.
